To celebrate the Olympic champions who have won on 3T bars in the company’s 50 year history, the Italian component manufacturer has announced a new line of specially commission London Edition components.
The new line features handlebars, stems and seatposts for road and mountain bike and are finished in high gloss white paint with a distinctive yellow, green, red, black, and blue motif. The new products will be sold as packages, if you want to give your bike a special makeover for London 2012 and show your support.
Introducing the new livery, 3T chief executive René Wiertz said: “This London Edition honours all the champions that rode our 3T bars to victory during the past Olympic Games. These components fizz with colour and will perfectly set off bicycles finished in stealth-look greys and blacks, and the pearl-whites that are also popular. No doubt we will see them on bikes of many other colours too.
“At the last Olympiad, in Beijing, 3T had medal winners in Fabian Cancellara and Gustav Larsso riding our Ventus TT bar. We’ve come a long way since then. Four years on, in London, there will be numerous riders on 3T – in road-racing, time-trial, and track events. The new London Edition gives 3T fans something really special to mark this year.”
The 3T Xida Team Bar London Edition bar will cost £105, the ARX Team Stem London Edition £75 and the 3T Dorico Team Setback Seatpost London Edition £100.
