Digital mapping specialist Memory-Map is set to launch a version of its popular software for the increasingly-ubiquitous iPhone. The iPhone app will display maps from Memory-Map’s current range, including Ordnance Survey’s Explorer 1:25,000 and Landranger 1:50,000 maps, CAA and marine charts and all of our worldwide mapping.
The Memory-Map app links to the iPhone’s GPS to show real time positioning and you’ll be able to download routes, tracks and waypoints. There will apparently be a “host of other useful features” but we’ll have to wait to find out what they are. Other things we don’t know include how much it’ll be and when exactly it’ll be available.
The Memory-Map iPhone app will be available through Apple’s App Store. All Memory-Map maps are available through all leading outdoor, cycle and other specialist retailers. Find out more at www.memory-map.co.uk.
