Trans-Alpine Gravit backpacks, air permeable Women’s shoes and Yaki Jackets are all part of Vaude’s new ‘green thread’ philosophy, a push to make its products more ecologically friendly.
The outdoor clothing company is embracing the Green Shape philosophy, ensuring sustainable solutions where possible with a special focus on its backpacks. Environmentally friendly materials combined with the highest technical design feature in 15 new backpacks, which will wear the ‘bluesign’ approved fabric label.
Performance meets Ecology backpacks for the responsible mountain biker
Vaude’s new mountain bike backpacks carry the “Performance meets Ecology” motto, where the demands of mountain bikers are met with environmentally responsible packs.
Two such models demonstrate this new direction, the Gravit 10+3 daypack and the full featured, trans-alpine Gravit 30+5 backpack. Both share the same VENT-TEX full contact suspension system combined with the F.L.A.S.H. NT shoulder strap adjustment, that allows for individual adjustment to fit yoru torso perfectly.
Further features included mesh side pockets, compression straps, extension bellows, map compartment, front pocket with organizer, helmet holder and safety light attachment as well as a hydration system port.
Women’s mountain bike shoe launched
The other main front for Vaude’s new clothing line is the ‘First Women’s Bike Shoe’. Previously Vaude had made a big name for itself through the release of their men’s bike shoes, so this time they’re hitting the women’s market, with the Soneza RC’s. The shoe offer tight grip and clipless pedal-ready. The main change for the shoes are the lightweight Race NT Sole’s, made of stiff nylon and TPU thread, and even has the capability for 2 spikes to be added for tricky terrain.
Lightweight 205g jacket is 100% waterproof
All these products seem great, but what if the weather turns and it pours with rain? Your answer is their new lightweight Realto jacket, just 205 grams! And is 100% waterproof! This is all due to the 3 layer Sympatex Performance Membrane, which is Bluesign certified. Not does it just perform well but it comfortable too, as its ergonomically designed, and has a minimal pack size.
New kids range
You’ve got yourself kitted out, now how about your kids? No problem, Vaude are also bringing out a brand new kids range, all high spec like all their products, but vividly coloured with reflective pads for safety on the road.
