Cannondale's four-strong helmet range has arrived in the UK after first being unveiled back in 2011.
All four helmets are made from dual density EPS - expanded polystyrene - with an internal nylon chassis to help keep everything intact during impact. The Polycarbonate outer shell is fused with the EPS body to create a one-piece design, while adjustment comes by way of a dial at the rear of the lid.
The two most expensive models also have SI Alloy Reinforcement Bridges, or aluminium plates that span several vents under the shell in key locations to provide further reinforcement.
The top-of-the-range lid, named the Teramo, will hit the shops at £69.99 and weighs just 245g, with 23 air vents. That's designed with road riders in mind, but the mountain bike-specific Ryker then comes in at £49.99. It has larger vents for improved air circulation at low speed, while the graphics are embedded into polycarbonate shell, so they won’t chip or scrape off.
Next up, the £39.99 Radius is described by Cannondale as being “the perfect low profile, in-town helmet, that transitions to ‘weekend warrior’ duty." And finally, the £29.99 Quick is ideal for commuters.
