Just arrived in the office is this smart looking mid-level helmet from Bontrager. Despite the mid-level price tag, the Quantum looks every bit as good as many of the far pricier helmets on the market but at just £44.99, it’s not going to break the bank.
There’s four sizes available so getting the right fit, which is crucial for safety, is easy. An adjustable Micro-Manager retention uses a turn-dial to adjust the size, plus there’s three levels of vertical adjustment too and the straps uses easy-to-use lockdown adjusters.
An in-mould shell is punctuated with 21 large vents and there’s a removable visor. The slim padding is detachable so you can wash it after a sweaty ride.
It’s not the lightest helmet at 310g but considering the attractive price it’s hardly a major complaint.
