Bluegrass Brace full face helmet
Helmet manufacturer MET has launched Bluegrass, a gravity focused brand that was announced for the first time in the UK at Fisher Outdoor Leisure’s show earlier this week. We dived in for a good look at what to expect.
The range includes full-face helmets, BMX-style helmets and body armour, from spine protection to knee and elbow pads incorporating d30 technology. The new kit has been put through its paces at World Cup races with the likes of Sam Blenkinsopp wearing it.
First up is the Brace full face helmet. It’s made using a fibre glass outer shell and an EPS inner with plenty of vents and a weight of around 880g. Aside from the impressive price, just £125, other notable highlights include a novel device on the peak that allows it to ‘breakaway’ in the event of a face first crash.
