For $99.95 you get a holder for a Palm or Handspring Visor plus wheel sensor and software that gives you all the usual computer speed / time options in digital or graph format, as well as a very handy route direction mode. This allows you to download routes from your computer, or record them while your riding yourself and then the computer will point you which direction to go in a they recorded points as well as letting you know how far you’ve been or got to go, pre-plotted alititudes etc. All this – and forthcoming upgrades – is explained in far greater detail on the VeloTrend site and we have to confess, having been deeply sceptical about the whole idea of riding with a Palm we’re actually quite tempted.
