As part of UK distributor Sorted Cycles’s apparent aim to corner the market in North American niche brands, it’s just added Epic Titanium Bicycles to its roster. You may not have heard of Epic (we don’t mind admitting that we hadn’t) – it was started five years ago by Canadian Kurt Knock, and now offers a range of six frames covering road, mountain and cyclocross disciplines.
The ‘cross frame is the £995 Ti-Fighter. Impressively for the price, it’s a full-custom frame so if you find yourself with unusual body proportions, different ideas or both then you know where to come. You can also have your Ti-Fighter with disc mounts for those who have no intention of racing in national or international level CX events. Which is pretty much everybody, really.
On the mountain bike side, you’ve got a choice between the race-oriented TiRant (built for 100mm forks, disc only, S-bend stays, £925) or the all-day trail bike the Synergy (for 130mm forks, £995).
