The countdown to the 2011 Absa Cape Epic is on.
The epic South African stage race, a challenging eight days of racing across some of the most stunning terrain in the region, kicks of on the 27 March this year and challenges racers to a 707km route with a staggering 14550m of climbing.
I was fortunate enough to take part in this event last year, and it was one of my most memorable mountain bike experiences. While I’d dearly love to take part again this year, one thing or another has meant I’ve been able to, as much as I would instantly clear my diary and jump on the first available flight there.
So, with the race rapidly approaching, I wanted to share some of the photos that, for me, sum up the event and the brilliant experience I shared with my fellow Mule Bar team mates. Tune in over the next two weeks for several more photo galleries.
