Pump tracks have always been popular, ideal for riders to hone their skills and great for spectators too. Now DMR is stepping up and sponsoring the new DMR Bikes Pump Track Challenge, a series of events starting on Saturday 2 April in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire.
Open to all skill levels, Pump Tracks are attractive to dirt new comers and are the breeding ground for dirt jumping and 4x racing formats. Pump Tracks are springing up all over the country. They vary in design but are generally short, rolling, tight and twisty. They challenge rider’s skill. Races will be won and lost in the corners.
The new five date series hopes to capitalise on this popularity, and to take them to a wider audience.

The small pump track creates an intense racing atmosphere with the whole crowd of spectators really shouting & screaming for their favourite riders to win! DMR Bikes have been fantastic and really got the behind this with amazing lezyne prizes topped it off with a Pro prize purse of £400 per event! Just can’t wait to kick it all off at Leamington on 2nd April “
DMR’s Damian Mason: “DMR Bikes are stoked to boost the growth of the pump track scene with these exciting new competitive events. We are expecting some ripping action from each round.”
Any mountain bike can be use with a minimum of 24in wheels (no BMX) but we’d recommend riding a 4X or dirt jump hardtail bike to get the most fun. Check out the site at www.pumptrackchallenge.com.
