Nuun is a relatively new electrolyte drink with its biggest USP being its portability. 12 tablets in a tough water resistant plastic tube are enough for 12 500ml bottles – we’ll let you work out how many you’ll need for a hydration bladder – to deliver a balanced hydration solution.
If you’ve been paying attention to the pages of bikemagic you’ll no doubt draw a similarity with Zym, featured last week. The concept for both products is similar, but this is where the similarities end. nuun has been around longer and, so far, has better availability with 100 shops around the UK carrying stock. nuun is also available in three flavours (Lemon and Lime, Citrus Fruit and Tri-Berry), 12 tablets as opposed to 10 makes for better value for money. One tube will cost £4.99.
We’ll be testing both this coming weekend to see how they both perform. Incidentally, if you’re attending Mountain Mayhem this weekend you’ll be able to find out more about nuun as they’ll be setting up shop in the trade area.
