The next round of the Chain Reaction Cycles DH NPS (scheduled for 21/22 July) has fallen victim to The Wettest June On Record™. Organisers Steve Parr and Si Paton tell us that the unrelentingly bad weather has left the pit fields at the Rugog venue inaccessible. The back-up courses at Caersws and Moelfre are no better, so they’ve had to take the decision to can it.

An announcement will be made later this week as to whether the event will be rescheduled or abandoned altogether. If the latter, all entry fees will be repaid.
