The recently released Radar has been well received by the pro riders and we’ve seen many of them sporting team flavoured versions of the new shades.
Now you can get your own custom Radar or Flak Jacket shades, sort of, with the release of these limited edition Livestrong shades. A percentage of the profits (£20 it says here) will go straight to the Lance Armstrong Foundation. Yellow detailing on black frames are certainly distinctive, with Livestrong laser etched on the lenses.
Clearly pleased with the news from the company that has supported him throughout his career and to seven Tour de France victories, Armstrong commented: “…together with the company’s support and those who appreciate the performance of its (Oakley) eyewear technologies, we can help make a difference to millions of those who are living with cancer.”
What is the Lance Armstrong Foundation?
Located in Austin, Texas, the Lance Armstrong Foundation empowers and inspires those who are living with cancer. The foundation is resolved in its belief that in the battle with cancer, unity is strength, knowledge is power and attitude is everything. “I intend to do everything I can to make this an issue our nation’s decision makers can’t ignore. Whether talking with members of Congress or traveling the country to meet with survivors and leading cancer experts – I am dedicating myself to this cause,” said Lance Armstrong.
