Fort William Endurance Downhill – 7 September
Fort William, Scotland
Downhill Endurance will give riders six hours to negotiate the 2.8km course as many times as they can. Every run will be times, with cumulative times deciding the results where riders have completed an equal number of runs.
Ratz Rampage Round round 3 – 7 September
Checkendon, Reading
The Ratz Rampage Series is back for 2008. Four dates over the summer/autumn, each based on the classic Park Wood course at Checkendon, just north west of Reading. Categories for ages and abilities. No pre-entry, but turn up in plenty of time as numbers are limited to 100.
Dragon Downhill round 4 – 6/7 September
Mountain Ash, Wales
Round 4 of the Dragon Downhill series will take place at Mountain Ash this weekend. Saturday is practice followed by addional practice early Sunday morning followed by the racing, starting at 12pm with each rider getting two timed runs. Places are limited to 250.
Manx Downhill Series 5 – 7 September
Ballaugh, Isle of Man
The Manx Mountain Bike Clubs DH series reaches round 5 this weekend.
Royal Racing UK DH round 5 – 6/7 September
Blandford, Dorset
Let the uplift take the strain in the the Royal Racing sponsored uplift day at the UK Bike Park in Blandford, Dorset. Expect to get 10+ runs a day using the uplift, with a bottom to top run time of approximately 10mins. Uplifting starts at 10am and finishes at 4.30pm, the service stops for lunch for 1 hour from 1pm to 2pm. On-site refreshments available all day. Cost is £25.
12:12 Torq in your Sleep – 6 September
Minley Manor, Yateley
The 12-hour race is being staged at Minley Manor near Yateley and a 7 mile course has been designed – by Jon Lucas and Paul Howard – with typical Gorrick style, so expect lots of singletrack through pine forests interspersed by short fire roads and little in the way of grassy fields.
