Eurobike 2008: Report 3

Day two and I’m roughly halfway through my visit to Eurobike. There’s still so much to see but the impending fear of running out of time is hard to ignore. So I’d best crack on then, but first, some coffee…

RockShox rolled out the new Reba Team. It’s available with standard QR or Maxle Lite axles, travel is adjustable between 80/100/120mm and it weighs 1,625g.

Also new is this, the Revelation 426 Air U-Turn. Like the new Reba, its Maxle Lite compatible, and travel is adjustable between 110/140mm. Weight is 1,837g.

Decal it your way

Felt’s Equilink suspension design is well regarded, and it’s put to use here in the Redemption One, a bike Felt says is aimed at those who class their riding as “Aggressive All Mountain” (but nowhere on their stand was there a Mild-Mannered All Mountain bike. Maybe that’s one for 2010?).

1.5” headtube up front, hydroforming excess everywhere else, Gravity Dropper seatpost, Fox Talas 36, Truvativ HammerSchmidt

Felt’s range of bikes is pretty all encompassing, which this Sure Shot jumpy bike goes to prove

Mike’s already covered the new Scotts in some detail, but the Genius 50 is worthy of some closer inspection. An aluminium frame keeps the price down but that aside it’s nigh on identical.

Downtube. Huge. Nuff said.

Attention to detail in the linkage, with a bit of carbon on the rear mount.

A diddy Maverick pimped out with Hope Minis, SRAM X.0 and what can be best described as an ‘original’ paintjob…
