Got a Garmin Edge 605 or 705? A software update has just been issued today that brings a throng of changes to the popular GPS computer.
The software, version 2.50, fixes a raft of minor issues with the Edge 605/705 but also brings about several useful additions. Whether downloading from a route sharing site, planning ahead on a support software package, or wirelessly sharing tracks with other Edge users, the update allows you to now create your own map content to display on your Edge, and overlay multiple tracks on your map and to colour code each track for easy on-screen identification. This means you’ll be able to overlay a network of your favourite rides on screen, allowing you to choose which track to follow when out on a ride
To get the update, head over to www8.garmin.com/support/download_details.jsp?id=3987. You’ll need to download and install the webupdater to your computer to run the update.
