The first frame to come out of the new Shedfire design company, the Shedfire Ragley Ti (which was unveiled recently), is now ready for production and we’ve been sent these snaps of the first fully finished frame to roll off the line.
The Ragley is a 3Al/2.5V titanium hardtail made by Lynskey Performance in Chatanooga, USA designed ‘to excel in hard riding situations.’ The frame gets stacks of tyre clearance due to the ‘Three Finger’ chainstay bridge, which allows for 2.5in tyres along with increased chainring and mud clearance.
The geometry, featuring a 67.5° head angle and long top tube, is designed to be run with 130mm to 150mm forks and short (think 50mm to 70mm) stems. All the cable and hose guides are bolted on for maximum flexibility, and a chainstay mounted disc brake caliper has allowed lighter guage tubing for the seatstays to be used. There’s also no bridge on the seatstays further boosting mud clearance.
Three sizes will be available -16in, 18in and 20in with 23in, 23.5in and 24in top tube lengths respectively. Expected availability date the end of May.
