The Muc-Off 8 is a brand new eight-hour enduro and takes place this weekend (Sunday 11 April) at Pippingford Park in East Sussex, a six hundred acre private estate that is expected to play host to over 500 mountain bikers.
Based on solo riders and teams of two, three or four the eight-hour racing concept will see the competitors negotiating a challenging off-road course including a purpose made and electronically timed downhill section which also forms part of each lap. The aim is to complete as many laps as possible within the eight-hour period with teams dictating their own strategy, using only one rider at a time on the course.
Featuring a multitude of spectacles from the world of motorcycle trials and mountain bike, the Muc-Off 8 will introduce new Muc-Off team members; trials rider Sam Connor and MTB dirt jumper Chris Smith who will both be putting on displays and demos throughout the day.
Speed, endurance and skill will be showcased from the world of motorsport, as representatives from Formula 1’s Force India, Mercedes and Red Bull have entered a combined 30 teams to challenge each other across the eight miles of downhill, cross country and single track.
With top quality live entertainment, first class organization, free goodies and free bike care courtesy of market leading cleaning brand Muc-Off, the event aims to deliver a race day to remember. Spectators are welcome and there is no entry charge to come and enjoy all the two-wheeled action this Sunday.
Entries are now closed for this event. Bikemagic will have a rider taking part on the solo category and reporting on the event. If you’re riding, we’d love to hear how you get on in the forum below.
