Head to any mountain bike race and you’re likely to see a VW Transporter T5 – now the iconic campervan will be even harder to miss after the DoubleBack was unveiled.
Along with the campervan’s traditional elevating roof, the DoubleBack has an electrically extendable rear pod which creates almost two metres of additional space, with enough space for up to four bikes. Take a look at the video below to see how it works.
The DoubleBack deploys two legs that self-level on uneven terrain, while the campervan also has a fold out bed, a kitchenette and space for up to three passenger. All that’s yours for £54,995.
“The DoubleBack has been inspired by a desire to see a truly spacious, comfortable camper with all the practical advantages of a smaller vehicle,” said Craig McCormack, founder of Overlander Motorhomes.
