In a move to dominate the niche “whoops, no ears” sunglasses market, Oakley have introduced radical new “over the top” glasses.
Rather than conventional earstems the lenses are held in place by a pair of plastic “braces” which curve up over the top of your skull, to grip in a V shape in the occipital lobe notch just above your neck (like helmet retention systems). Oakley themselves make no apologies for the “curious” appearance of the glasses, citing the reason behind making these glasses as “because we can”.
At the moment the website declares that they are “not available in a shop near you” but interested sea lions, otters, those suffering from over-tight full face helmet wearing, or the otherwise un-eared might want to have a look at. www.oakley.com
Needless to say our Cyberpunk techies are desperately trying to get a pair for scaring people at Sci-Fi parties.
