Donning a bulky, extra warm fleece at the end of a freezing ride is one of the greatest pleasures left to mankind. The Gill Icelander is much, much, too bulky to ride hard in, very durable and comes into its own when you need to warm up in the car park/on the train home.The design is simple: throw over with elasticated wrists and one natty, side-entry pocket. The chunky, knit effect, Pontetorto-Tecnopile fleece is very, very warm and seems to wick fine. If it was wind and shower proof it would be the perfect post-ride pull-over, and probably twice the already luxurious £59.99 price.
