Iron Horse bikes are galloping back onto the UK scene after a few years out to pasture. They’ll be groomed, exercised and oiled by Martin Harlow of US bike importers who’s eager for trade and consumer enquiries.
A brief look at the website reveals the hardtails have carried on using the trademark pierced top tube linked to seat stays ‘A’ frame design combined with decent component packages including appropriately named Sun/Ringle’ Disc Jockey wheel packages and Thudbuster linkage suspension systems.
The suspension selection is a more mixed bag with several frame designs, including top end rigs based around FSR style linkages (with genuine Horst link) and Intense / Specialized (Univega?) style framesets with box or bolt on seat masts.
No news on prices yet, but we’re sure Martin will be happy to tell potential jockeys all about his fine selection of fillies on 07808 171245, or by e-mail.
Just in case you’re wondering, although aluminium and steel bikes are in the range, wrought iron frames seem to be reassuringly absent.
With Iron horse joining Alpinestars, Nishiki and Corratec on the comeback trail this year, we’re still waiting for Overbury’s or English Cycles to put together a British resurrection range at any moment.
