Three cheers for India’s own epic bike freestyler, mr Bhimsen Behera who has been performing his apparently non stop 5 day bike show from village to village since 1975.

The five day long shows including circus based tricks, balloons and the breathtaking “fitting lights to his bike”, as well as more mundane eating, sleeping and ’emptying’ acts. His wife and 13 year old son act as support crew, and live off the £12 a day this spectacle earns.

Interviewed by Sify news he said “First, it was the money that drove me but now it has become a way of life for me. I shall hang up my boots once my son is ready to take over.” We’re sure his son is delighted at the prospect.

News of a lucrative Rock Shox, Rocky Mountain and Andrex sponsorship deal would indeed be news to us and mr Behera, whose current bike brand is unknown.
