The second round of the NRS NPS Downhill series took place at Ae Forest over the weekend. Changeable conditions kept the racers on their toes, with a wet course on Saturday drying out on Sunday. With Steve Peat (Orange) not racing thanks to a wrist injury (don’t worry, he’ll be back for the World Cup…) things were made just that little bit easier for the rest of the field. It was an on-form Will Longden (MBUK/Scott) who took top spot, ahead of Fabien Barel (Kona/Clarks) and Crawford Carrick-Anderson (Santa Cruz/Fox).
In the womens’ event, it was the second win on the run for Tracy Moseley (Kona/Clarks), ahead of Ffionn Griffiths (Foes/Azonic) and Helen Gaskell (Halfords Bikehut/Azonic).
We’re looking forward to great things from the Brits at Fort William this weekend…
