Over in the Alps the Trans Savoie race is taking place right now – the event that has taken inspiration from the famous Trans Provence (although not run by the same team we should point out) – which takes in 20 timed stages over six days and features 20,000metres of descending in that time… Sounds pretty good doesn’t it?

Results so far
From looking at the results sheet we can report that Swiss Rene Wildhaber is currently leading the charge by almost five minutes after three full days of racing with Armin Beeli chasing in second place and the UK’s Neil Donoghue in third.
The best news is that Ben is sitting in seventh place! Good effort Ben and looks like that new Whyte bike is working out. Click over to Ben’s introduction to his effort and keep an eye on Bike Magic for updates on the event’s progress as well as Ben’s forthcoming race report!
