Morvelo’s CityCross event looked like such a fun event. A combination of MTB, CX and, well, street features came together to produce a challenging but fun course in Halifax. Check out the photos and video to find out why you should enter the next one! Hats off to Morvelo for putting on a great event.

Morvélo CityCross 2 took place last Saturday in the unique setting of a Grade 1 listed building in central Halifax. Combining cobbles, sand, mud, berms, steps, ramps, beer hand ups, smoke, stage, music, bridge, spiral of doom and illuminated corridors this race threw together cyclocross and mountain bikes in the ultimate urban battle.

The concept behind CityCross is to create short, fast and close racing for all abilities in an city environment. Pitching together the best bits of traditional cyclocross and added elements that suit mountain bikes, CityCross it a test of skill and speed with a healthy dose of messing about thrown in.
