F-Riders-inc is a new online store supplying women’s and girls apparel for mountain biking, BMX, general cycling, surfing, skateboarding and snowboarding. It’s run by female riders for female riders and is born out of frustration about a lack of choice in female riding gear in UK shops. We’re committed to only stocking design driven products from manufacturers who live and breathe the sports we love. We are also very keen to promote brands and products that have good sustainable credentials such as Urge Helmets and Picture Organic Clothing.  We are proud to be stocking independent new brands such as Ana Nichoola, the female run cycling apparel designers and are on the look out for many more.

We’re keen to be a community of riders from all disciplines. We try to update our website as often as possible with news of events, coaching courses, holidays, meet- ups and venues and well as results from competitions. British women are currently doing incredibly well in many international competitions and great work is being done to promote women’s and girls’ participation at all levels of board and bike sports.

We want to support as much of this good work as possible in whatever way we can and hope that in a small way, by having a greater variety of apparel to do these sports will entice more women and girls to join in – after all it’s not all about Lycra in cycling and dark baggy clothes in skateboarding.

Women are really privileged in the UK to have the freedom to participate in any aspect of sport or life that we chose, however we are not necessarily on a level playing field (sorry for the pun) and many cycle and board sports are still male dominated. We also recognise that it’s much harder for women to take up board and bike other parts of the world. So we support the efforts of charities such as skateistan that does fantastic work in Afghanistan and Cambodia. In the future we hope we can also help to promote women’s participation further afield.

Right now we are on the hunt for more unique ranges of female specific gear and welcome suggestions from all readers.

We’re a small company with limited funds but we are growing all the time and as a result expanding our ranges all the time. The store can be found at www.f-riders-inc.com and keep track of update in product ranges on Facebook at fridersinc.
