Video: Riding the new trails at Swinley Forest
We popped along to Swinley Forest at the end of last year, to try out a GoPro video camera we’re testing. We stumbled across a new section of trails, and decided to share it with you here.
You need to crane your neck a little – we’re still playing around with the chesty camera mount to get the right setting, and as you can see we got it a little wrong, with the camera pointing down just a little. That aside, you can still see the work that has gone into this new trail. What do you think?

I have been riding at Swinleys most weekends for the last 15 years and even remember how empty the car park used to be even on a sunny weekend.
It has sand base so it drains well and is rideable most of the year baring forest fires and a deluge. I still find new trails now and recommend it for night riding as there’s always a signpost back to The Lookout and it’s bounded by roads so you can’t get lost for long.
I’ve given up on bike cameras favouring actual riding if I have any spare time. Cheers, Marcus
