Bikemagic Bikemagic

Here at Bikemagic we’re eagerly awaiting the summer months, when we’ll be excitedly packing our bikes and bags up and heading somewhere where mountains pierce the sky. For many this means a trip to sunny southern Spain, where it really is singletrack heaven.

There’ll be some of this…

…but plenty of this.

We’re teaming up with Switch-backs.com, purveyors of fine mountain bike holidays in the Sierra Nevadas of southern Spain, to offer you a chance to sample some of the best singletrack trails in Europe. Plus there’s the added bonus of the chance to win a Cove Stiffee frameset (in your choice of size and colour) worth £500. With places limited to 15, the odds of winning are pretty good… Other prizes will include Switchback jerseys and t-shirts, Continental tyres, and we’ll throw in a Bikemagic t-shirt too.

For £295 you’ll get:

  • 5/6 days guided riding
  • 7 nights accommodation
  • Transfers to and from Malaga Airport
  • Daily transfers of you and your bike
  • Breakfast and lunch
  • Entry into the Cove Stiffee frameset competition

You’ll just need to book some flights, which in these days of budget air travel will cost you less than a new set of bars.

The date of the trip is 10-17 September.

Not heard of Switch-backs.com? They’re based in southern Spain’s Sierra Nevada region. Their day rides vary from fast, flowing singletrack to full on technical XC/Fr-lite. They specialise in coaching and skills development so their guides can offer technique advice to help those get through the harsher stuff and overall raise your skill levels. Some fitness will be required for about 3,000metres of climbing, but fear not, there’ll be over 17,000metres of descending, all of it the singletrack variety.

They’ll have a range of Cove bikes to try out, including the Hustler, Stiffee and Hummer.

To book your place, drop an email to michael@switch-backs.com. Visit their website www.switch-backs.com for more information.
