Andalucia Bike Race 2012 route revealed

The 2012 Andalucia Bike Race route has been revealed, with 400km of riding and 12,000m of climbing packed into six days of racing.

Next year’s edition, from February 26-March 2, will start with a semi-urban team time trial prologue in Cordoba and will be followed by five marathon stages, taking in the best of the Spanish region’s singletrack.

The race, which is for teams of two, features only one transfer, halfway through the event. The fourth day (stage three), will start and finish at La Carolina, 130km north east from Cordoba. This stage is the shortest of the race at 58.8km and, after the day’s racing, the riders will transfer to Jaen, 70km away, where the race will settle until the finish.
