100km of Buckinghamshire

News reaches us of another enduro event, this time conveniently situated for riders in the south-east. West Drayton MBC’s Bukinghamshire 100 Off-Road Classic runs from Denham Country Park and takes in 100km over the Chilterns to Tring. It’s 85% off-road, with a few quiet lines to fill in the gaps.

Kick off is 10am on 20 April 2003. The organisers are keen to point out that there are a number of country pubs en route for refreshments – we like the cut of their jib… There’s also a 30km option if 100 looks a bit keen.

The Classic won’t be a race, but finishing times will be recorded – a wet weather recce took seven hours, but they’re expecting it to be considerably quicker in Spring. The whole route will be waymarked, so you don’t need to know where you’re going particularly.

Entry forms are available at local bike shops or are available to download from the club’s website. Or you can contact organiser Chris Denman by email or phone (07860 126356).
