New jackets, jerseys, shorts and gloves from Madison

Madison have overhauled their clothing collection for the autumn/winter season, with a range of new jackets, jerseys, shorts and gloves on sale now.

We gave you a sneak-peak of the updated kit back in August, now Madison have launched a new website to showcase the latest products.

The new autumn/winter mountain bike range includes three jackets, starting with the Trail Softshell at £69.99. The jacket features a subtle cycle-specific cut for use both on the bike and for everyday outdoor endeavours.

It’s made from a warm, windproof and breathable polyester fabric, which is also waterproof. Three front pockets, plus one at the rear, are at hand to stash kit and other bits, protected from the elements by waterproof zips.

Step up a price point and you have the Flux Softshell at a penny under £100. The jacket boasts many of the Trail’s features, but a soft fleece lining provides extra warmth through winter.

The Flux Waterproof (pictured above) is the top-of-the-range jacket, manufactured from a stretch fabric that offers a 20,000mm breathability and 10,000mm waterproof rating. It is, according to Madison, “built to take whatever the elements decide to throw at you, whether you’re on the local trails or exploring the Alps.”

Four new jerseys feature in the range with the Flux Singletrack Short Sleeve and Flux All Mountain Short Sleeve retailing for £26.99 and the Flux Singletrack Long Sleeve and Flux All Mountain 3/4 Sleeve costing £29.99 a piece.

The Flux 88 Shorts (£59.99) are designed to offer a relaxed fit for all-day riding, while the Flux 88 3/4 Shorts (£69.99) will keep your knees covered through the cold winter months.

The range-topping Flux Deluxe Shorts (£84.99, pictured above) are made from a durable, lightweight fabric, with leg vents, plenty of pockets and a detachable liner with chamois.

Completing our round-up of season’s new kit are three pairs of gloves. The lightweight Fluc XC Gloves (£19.99) are designed to protect your hands while also keeping them cool, the Flux All Mountain Gloves (£22.99, pictured below) include a Kevlar skid panel on the palm and airprene knuckles to offer additional protection and the Flux Singletrack Gloves (£24.99) are the high-end option with six gel pads on each palm for comfort regardless of the terrain you’re riding.

So that’s the new mountain bike kit covered. Madison’s existing range include a tons of other gear, including more jackets, shorts and jerseys, plus saddles and sunglasses.

The company’s road and commuting ranges have also been updated for 2012. Find out more about that on our sister-site RoadCyclingUK.
