Eurobike 2011: SRAM X5 makes 2x10 affordable
SRAM used Eurobike to launch to the world its brand new X5 groupset, which makes the leap to 2×10 now more affordable than ever before.
The new groupset, which borrows heavily from those higher up the range but with less expensive materials, is available in 2X10 – with 42-28, 39-26, 38-24 and 36-22 to choose from – and 3X10 (44-33-22) gearing options.
“X5 features the smooth and precise X-Glide front shifting, with the performance and wide gearing of SRAM 10-speed, at a price level that will help every mountain biking enthusiast to bring out the best in any bike,” says a company spokeperson.
