Eurobike 2011 highlights: day two - in pictures

Another day around the many halls of Eurobike has revealed some interesting finds, including a new 29er from Yeti, lights from Lezyne, RockShox embraces 29ers with loads of new forks and much more.

RockShox has massively expanded its range of 29er forks, with offerings right across the price spectrum. Pictured is the 2012 Reba (left) and SID (right) which for the first time share the same lower leg assembly.

Each manufacturer has a very different approach to displaying bikes, and for Rocky Mountain that means having an Apple iPad attached to the stand of every single bike it was showing. They did this last year too, but this time they actually worked.

Trek’s new Rumblefish II, a 120mm 29er full-susser. It’s described as “the next step for 29er fans looking to tackle more technical terrain, or 26″ trail riders ready to trade up to bigger wheels.”

Lezyne had some very exciting new products to show us, but most interesting of all is that they’ve stepped into the lighting market. Didn’t see that one coming. There’s three lights in the range, all priced under £100. The top model punches out 450 Lumens and weighs just 126g and features a nice CNC machined housing. More details soon…

GoPro were streaming some properly captivating video on its stand. Hard not to be impressed with the new 3D Hero System allows you to combine two 1080p HD Hero cameras into a single housing to record 3D video.

The bike everyone was waiting for? Maybe not, but it sure caught a few people by surprise. Yeti has turned its brand new SB-66 into a 29er. Aside from the bigger wheels, the bike is the same as that launched just a little while ago. You can remind yourself of the main innovations in this article.
