Here for sale is my 2010 Giant Trance X Advanced SL 0, Full Carbon Duel Suspension All Mountain / Enduro / XC Mountain Bike in a size Medium (18").
So for my (and your) piece of mind I took this bike along to Giant's UK warranty department to check a scratch on the top tube (Caused by a friends brake lever when transporting it in a van to go riding) and a chip in the down tube (caused by a stone flying up on my first ride) I now have a carbon frame protector for the down tube which should prevent this happening again and will be supplied with the bike.
They assure me that both are just cosmetic scratching chipping of the clear Lacquer and that the frame is 100% sound and structurally A OK. Both the scratch and chip are shown in the images on this advert.
The main warranty guy at Giant has written me a letter confirming that the damage is cosmetic and this can be checked with him if you have any doubts.
I've probably used the bike about 30 times over the 3 years I've owned it which is the main reason I'm selling it, I just don't use it enough to justify keeping such a nice bike.
Anyway I bought the bike at the beginning of October 2010 for £5,500 and have kept it well maintained.
I've recently put a new rear tyre on the bike as well as replacing the shock bushing with a BETD roller Bushing.I also replaced the original shock with a newer bigger chamber version of the RP23 with Boost Valve about 6 months ago (original shock supplied with the bike and is in perfect working order, it just needs a new bushing). The cranks were also changed when a friend had some new ones going cheap as my ones we're looking a bit scuffed up from shoe rubbing. I even changed the gear cables and brake pads so she really is good to go for whoever buys it.
